I'm taking a break from most of Livejournal. I'd love to say it's not you, it's me, but that'd be sort of a lie, so I'll say it's both.  There are people I do wish to avoid at the moment and I'm starting intensive work on my thesis as of next week.

At least some of you have probably heard of the SSHRC (Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council). They provide support for students and researchers in social sciences and humanities, fields that, unlike science, business and other direct money-generating fields, rarely get any support at all.
